Dear Professional Driver,
First off, I want to say THANK YOU for visiting our page.
I understand there are thousands of other places you could be right now and I am honored you are here.
Now, please take a few minutes to read this letter.
My Grandfather, Donald Heyl, started this company back in 1949 with just one gravel truck. One of the major commodities Don started hauling was watermelons from the Southern US to Canada.
He continued to expand the business throughout the 70s and 80s, and it was at this time that 4 of his sons joined the family company - Roger, Alan, Scott, and David. Roger retired in 2016, David remains involved in Operations, and Alan is the current CEO.
By the early 90’s, the company had grown to 91 trucks with terminals in Akron, IA, and Sioux Falls, SD. Fast forward to today, and we are operating over 500 company trucks and around 35 Owner Operators. We now also have terminals in Estherville, IA; Edinburg, TX; Zephyrhills, FL; and Okotoks, AB.
Some of my most cherished memories as a child include those spent at our terminal in Akron - stopping into the watermelon shed, taking a ride around the yard in a truck, or stopping in to say hello to our office staff and mechanics.
During my visits, I remember being in awe of my father’s work ethic and leadership - core values of which were passed down from my Grandfather.
There’s something else, though, that originated in my Grandfather that has passed down to each generation, and that is a true passion for this industry.

My Grandfather was a true trucker and the decision to come off the road was one of the most difficult of his life.
The passion and drive he has for trucking has been the key and backbone in building our company culture.
We want to share that with each of you, and we want you to share your story with us as well.

Exceptional Base Pay, Benefits, and Bonus!
As an experienced driver, your base pay (depending on your driving experience and fleet) could start anywhere from 54-56 CPM! You'll also see 1cpm raises in as little as 3-6 months. In addition to base pay, you will also be offered the following:
- Mileage, Safety, and Performance Bonuses (paid monthly)
- Detention, Layover, Breakdown, and Drop Pay
- Anniversary Bonus
- Referral Bonus Program (up to $2500/ referral!)
- Paid Orientation
- Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
- 401(k) Plan w/ Company Match
- PTO
For our friends in Alberta, we also add an additional exchange rate surcharge on all miles to help compensate for the difference in currencies.
